Tulum Ruins

So, between travelling from Cozumel to Cancun, I decided that I wanted to see the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum.  Tulum is the only set of Mayan cities built on the coastline, they (like all the other Mayan cities) are built around the Mayan calendar and, were actually inhabited up until the early 1900′s.   A lot smaller than I expected, these ruins were every bit as picturesque and interesting as I expected – bar the hoards of tourists that never seem to clear off to allow me that “perfect” picture
